According to a report from Page Six, Lil’ Kim recently canceled all of her upcoming interviews, and when she explained her decision on Instagram, the rap-legend stated that it was because the media simply weren’t putting “respect on her name.”

Lil’ Kim canceled a number of different appearances, including a stop by the set of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, as well as Today, and Access Hollywood. However, now, sources who spoke with the aforementioned outlet claim it was actually the networks and the producers who pulled out at the last minute, and not Lil’ Kim, as she suggested.

Apparently, the rapper’s team put too many restrictions on the types of questions they could ask her. As a result, they canceled the appearances because there simply was not enough juicy questions and topics to discuss.

At the moment, Lil’ Kim is working on a Vh1 show, Girl’s Cruise, in which she works on with the TLC member, Chilli, and Mya. In a video posted on her account, Kim said she had a bunch of interviews set up, but it was no longer going to happen.

It was reported yesterday that Lil’ Kim claimed she wasn’t being shown the proper respect by multiple mainstream outlets. The star said one of the “major” ones wanted to get “messy” with her, so she had no choice but to turn them down.

Cohen apparently said afterward that he was a big fan of Lil’ Kim, and he couldn’t wait for her to come back to the Clubhouse. However, another media source claimed the media canceled on her for a “ridiculous list” of demands.

Moreover, the talk show legend, Wendy Williams also addressed the controversy on her production as well. It’s not uncommon for entertainers to deny interviews on account of personal questions.

Stars such as Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper, for instance, have insisted on not talking about their 2-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine. Bradley and Irina have since split up, however. Regardless, Lil’ Kim is no stranger to controversy. At one point in time in her career, she was the girlfriend of the late, The Notorious BIG, who was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in the late 1990s.
