TSR wrote: ‘Meek and prosecutors negotiated a deal to have the charges against him from his 2007 case officially dropped. As many of you already know, the case has kept him on probation for more than a decade.’

TSR writes that according to CBS Philly, a judge accepted his guilty plea and reportedly said, ‘This is the end of it.’

It’s been also reported that Meek spoke to a crowd of his supporters outside of the Criminal Justice Center and said the following:

‘Free Meek helped me get to this position. Meek free I’m not on probation no more. Thank you, I appreciate that a lot.’

He continued and said: ‘And I just wanted to come up here myself and thank all the supporters because I know y’all probably got family members in jail or people going through the same thing as me.’

Someone said: ‘Even in his triumph, he still acknowledges those going through it who aren’t as fortunate as him. So much respect for that.👏🏾✊🏾’

A follower posted: ‘Being on probation for that long is ridiculous,’ and one other commenter said: ‘They should look at all cases that went before that judge!’

One fan wrote: ‘It’s great that he’s free but what about the other million people goin thru this same exact thing #prisonreform.’

Another commenter posted: ‘Nicki played a huge part in his freedom but ok 🤷🏽‍♀️’

A person said: ‘I’m not understanding why he’s trying to be Nelson Mandela like he isn’t an actual criminal that sold drugs and carried illegal weapons. You were guilty 😩. Let’s focus on the actual innocent black people in prison 🤷🏾‍♀️.’

In other news, Kevin Hart and Meek seemed to have a little bit of a beef when the rapper body-shamed the comedian, and he clapped back.

However, it turns out that the shade was all in good fun and Kevin was well aware of that.
