Meek Mill Responds To Idea That 'Numbers Don't Lie' - Possibly Referencing Tekashi 6ix9ine's "TROLLZ" YouTube Dilemma

Fans of Tekashi 6ix9ine know that he has continuously released successful singles one after another over the last few months ever since he was released from prison earlier this year. More importantly, 6ix9ine broke the YouTube record for the most number of views under 24 hours.

Currently, 6ix9ine and his collaborator, Nicki Minaj are going after the coveted number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with their latest track, “TROLLZ,” featuring the female rapper. Despite his success, the recording artist still gets a lot of flack in the hip-hop world.

As most know, Tekashi 6ix9ine cut a plea deal with federal prosecutors in his racketeering case, effectively slicing his prison time into a fraction of what it originally was. However, this led to his reputation as a “snitch,” and he’s still receiving hatred for it.

As it was previously reported, Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj have repeatedly claimed that they managed to beat his last song, “GOOBA,” for the most number of views in a 24-hour time span. “GOOBA” managed to push out Eminem’s “Killshot” on YouTube.

Following the release of “TROLLZ,” both artists took to their Instagram accounts to say that their collaborative track together beat his prior record, however, YouTube, in a statement, said this wasn’t the case, although it was only short by a few million views.

Interestingly, Tekashi 6ix9ine and Meek Mill have been feuding back and forth ever since he got home from the big house, and perhaps more exciting, Meek and Nicki Minaj were once in a relationship, making the feud between Tekashi 6ix9ine and Meek Mill even more salacious.

Meek Mill, possibly in reference to the song’s Billboard and YouTube controversy, took to his Twitter account to say that “numbers do lie…who made that up?”

The screenshot of the tweet wound up on DJ Akademiks’ time-line which Tekashi 6ix9ine later addressed. Either way, when Billboard releases their Hot 100 list on the following Monday, the world will know just how successful their song really was.
