However, not everyone was happy to hear Megan Thee won the Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year award. We’re talking about Lil Baby’s fans and friends, who took to social media to voice their feelings about it.

The Atlanta rapper has had a great year, dropping the album “My Turn,” which had great sales and releasing the hit song “The Bigger Picture.” As he opened the BET Hip-Hop Awards, Lil Baby sang “We Paid” alongside 42 Dugg, but when people believed he’d take the Hip Hop Artist Of The Year crown, he lost it to Megan Thee Stallion.

It’s true that Megan also had a great year, with both her songs “Savage” and collab with Cardi B on “WAP” hitting #1. However, many believed that Lil Baby should have won the crown and not her. Even DJ Akademiks agreed to it on Twitter, saying that “Lil baby got robbed by BET. Disgusting.”

In DJ Akademiks’ comment section, people said that Lil Baby or Roddy Ricch should have won that category. Among the other winners at BET Hip Hop Awards, Future and Drake won the Best hip-hop video award for ‘Life Is Good.’

The Hip-hop album of the year was ‘Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial’ by Roddy Ricch. He also won the Song of the Year award for ‘The Box.’

Lil Baby did take home an award for ‘The Bigger Picture’ in the category Impact track. Chris Brown and Young Thug won the Best duo or group award and the Best featured verse award was won by Beyonce in ‘Savage’ (Remix).
