Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been busy traveling and preparing for the arrival of their first baby, and they managed to fit in a secret visit to Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland. The royal couple reportedly took a trip to Los Angeles recently, and an insider claims that Ragland will be the new prince or princess’ nanny.

According to The Sun, Ragland’s neighbors spotted the royal couple and one said that Markle is a mommy’s girl, and her move to England hasn’t changed that.

“Meghan will always come back to Doria, this will always be her home. They are forever in touch, and Meghan has been here to stay on more than one occasion since going public with Harry.” The neighbor added, “I even saw him here once, but it’s not my place to say any more.”

The exact date of Harry and Meghan’s visit to LA is a mystery, and it is not yet known if Ragland will be in London for the birth of her first grandchild. A palace insider insists that she will make the move across the pond to be the baby’s nanny.

The source explained that the royal family wanted Meghan to hire someone like William and Kate’s nanny Maria Borrallo, who has international credentials and is trained in security and self-defense. Meghan wants “Doria or no one,” so Kensington Palace is scrambling to train the yoga instructor on both royal etiquette and survival techniques.

The job of a royal nanny is more than just changing diapers, says the insider. It also involves teaching important skills to the royal children.

It makes sense that Meghan would want her mom around to help with the new baby. As royal fans know, Meghan does not have the best relationship with her dad, Thomas Markle, or her half-sister, Samantha Grant.

Thomas, a former Hollywood lighting director, backed out of walking Meghan down the aisle just days before her wedding to Prince Harry. And, Grant has done everything she can to make her sister look bad ever since Meghan and Harry went public with their relationship.

Grant has even started to go by the name “Samantha Markle” in an attempt to profit off of her sister’s fame. Even though she claims to have the inside scoop about the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan says that she and Grant have never been close or had much of a relationship at all.
