Meghan Markle Has Not Changed Since Becoming The Duchess Of Sussex Claims Suits Producer

For seven seasons, Meghan Markle played the role of Rachel Zane on the USA Network legal series Suits. But, since her acting career didn’t fit with being the Duchess of Sussex, her final episode of the show aired on April 25, 2018, less than a month before she married Prince Harry.

Even though she swapped her Hollywood life for a royal one, Suits producer Aaron Korsh says that Markle hasn’t changed.

“Meghan is who she is. She’s a grown woman. She’s not in her 20s. I think she’s a fully formed woman,” the 52-year-old Korsh recently explained at the TCA Winter Press Tour. “I’m sure that being in that position I’m sure would have some long-term changes but she’s the same. I’m going to guess that she’s pretty much the same person she always was and adapting very nicely to the challenges.”

Korsh got to know Markle well when they worked together, and he knows that she can overcome anything that is thrown her way. He says that “if you can handle yourself in Hollywood, you can handle yourself.”

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the royal wedding was a life-changing experience for the members of the Suits cast and crew that scored an invite. Korsh said that everyone who attended the event went as a family.

In addition to Korsh, stars Patrick J. Adams (who left the show at the same time as Markle), Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Rich Hoffman, and Abigail Spencer were all in attendance for the May 19th ceremony, and Korsh says it definitely changed their lives in certain ways.

However, he says that if it wouldn’t have happened, the cast had still been a family for ten years. Rafferty said before the wedding that they have all been together longer than if they would have gone to high school and college together, so the wedding was absolutely a family affair.

During their trip to the UK, the Suits stars stuck together. They enjoyed dinner the night before at a restaurant in Sunningdale. And, since they didn’t get to go to the private evening reception, they all went out and enjoyed karaoke together.

Despite rumors of a possible cameo, Korsh says that Meghan Markle will probably not be reuniting with the cast on-screen during this season of Suits. The producer says that the chances are “pretty close to zero.”
