Meghan Markle is only a few weeks away from having her first child with Prince Harry. While the former actress has been keeping a busy schedule the past couple of months, she is now officially on maternity leave.
With Markle done with public appearances, the next time we see her will probably be after the birth. As the Duchess of Sussex prepares to become a mom, she is still performing royal duties behind the scenes.
This woman, #MeghanMarkle is an asset to the British Royal Family. She didn’t become knowledgeable just because she became a Duchess. She gained her plethora of knowledge and was well-versed way before she became a Royal! IJS 🤷🏽♀️😬 pic.twitter.com/HvFzFXjJBT

“There are plenty of private meetings taking place. If she is to do something public it would be announced, but there are none that are scheduled,” an insider revealed.
This week, Markle attended a private meeting with a few executives at Kensington Palace. The meeting was related to one of Markle’s sponsorships, the National Theatre.
According to People, Markle will keep up her royal appointments in private in the weeks leading up to the birth. She is not, however, scheduled to make any more public appearances.
Inside sources also revealed that Markle and Harry are looking to move into their new estate by the time she has the baby. The couple’s home, Frogmore Cottage, is currently being renovated and is located in Windsor. The two opted to relocate because their new home will be more accommodating for their growing family.
The last time Markle appeared in public with other members of the royal was this past Monday. The former Suits star stepped out with Harry, Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day festivities.
The royal family has kept Markle’s exact due date a secret, though she is expected to have the child sometime in April. Markle is reportedly going to give birth at Windsor’s Frimley Park Hospital, though some sources insist she will be transported to St. Mary’s Hospital on the big day. Middleton had all three of her kiddos in the Lindo Wing of the hospital.
Meghan Markle has not commented on the latest reports surrounding her pregnancy, but it sounds like we can let the royal baby countdown begin.
