Meghan Markle Will Never Let Her 'Opportunist' Father Thomas Markle Meet Baby Sussex

Thomas Markle’s behavior this past year has not only fractured his relationship with his world-famous daughter, Meghan Markle, but it has also ruined his chances of seeing his grandchild. According to a new report, the Duchess of Sussex has ignored her father’s appeals to see her new baby when he or she arrives, and Meghan is doing this to keep her new royal family happy.

Insiders say that Thomas’ public pleas to see Meghan and Prince Harry’s baby are just another shallow attempt to reconnect with his daughter, and he’s not fooling anyone.

“He wasn’t much of a dad, so nobody expects him to step up for his grandchild,” an insider told Radar Online. “He’s doing whatever he can to catch a ride on the gravy train!”

As royal fans know by now, the former Hollywood lighting director became estranged from his daughter after he accepted money for staged pictures just weeks before she married Prince Harry. He then claimed to have a heart attack which prevented him from walking Meghan down the aisle. And, he made things worse when he hung up on Prince Harry after he scolded Thomas for spilling royal secrets to the media.

The source says that Harry and his family see Thomas “as nothing more than an opportunist,” and Meghan has chosen to turn her back on her dad to “save her storybook situation.”

The former Suits actress has not spoken to her father since her wedding, but she did send him a heartbreaking five-page handwritten letter last August begging him to stop speaking to the media and to let her be happy.

“Your actions have broken my heart into a million pieces — not simply because you have manufactured such unnecessary and unwarranted pain, but by making the choice to not tell the truth as you are puppeteered in this. Something I will never understand,” the Duchess of Sussex wrote to her father.

Duncan Larcombe, author of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, says that he doesn’t think for a moment that Thomas will ever meet his grandchild, and the insider echoed the sentiment.

The source said that Thomas has been nothing but an embarrassment to the royal family, and they have told Meghan Markle that she needs to make a choice between her dad and her role as Duchess of Sussex.

“He’s got zero chance of seeing that child,” says the source.
