Meghan Markle is still on maternity leave after giving birth to Archie Harrison on May 6th, but she is planning to step out in public next month to support one of her closest friends. An insider claims that the Duchess of Sussex will attend Wimbledon at the All England Club in London to watch Serena Williams in action.

The grand slam tennis tournament starts on July 1st and runs for two weeks, as the championship matches take place on July 13th and 14th. It’s not yet clear which days Markle will attend the tournament, but last year she attended the Ladies’ Singles Final with Kate Middleton. In that match, Williams faced Angelique Kerber, with Kerber coming out on top.

Markle has made one other appearance during her maternity leave. The 37-year-old joined the rest of the royal family in early June for Trooping the Color, which was the official public celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s 93rd birthday.

According to Time Magazine, Harry and Meghan have also announced that they will be heading to Africa this fall for their first major working trip since becoming parents. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the trip on their Instagram page, writing that they are looking forward to meeting people and raising awareness of the work that is being done in the local communities across the commonwealth.

They also wrote that it would be their “first official tour as a family,” which could mean that the couple will bring baby Archie along with them.

Harry and Meghan did not say when the tour will take place, but it will most likely be in the fall. They did announce that the tour will include the countries of South Africa, Malawi, Angola, and Botswana.

The last time the couple traveled together outside of the UK was in October 2018 when they visited the island of Fiji. During that visit, the Duchess of Sussex gave a speech about women’s rights, and some believe she will take the opportunity during the upcoming trip to talk about the issues facing young women in Southern Africa.

Harry and Meghan recently split from the Royal Foundation, which was a charity they ran along with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

This trip to Africa could be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first step towards starting their own charitable organization that focuses on the issues they are passionate about, including HIV/AIDS in Africa, women’s issues, and ending the use of landmines.
