The outspoken Republican did not hold anything back when she decided to drag Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles on TV! That being said, Meghan McCain went as far as to call the heir to the British monarchy and his life partner ‘boring.’

According to Meghan, this is even more the case now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not at the Palace anymore.

Basically, McCain stressed, on The View, that she is not interested in anything that has to do with the royal family, especially in the absence of Harry and Meghan!

‘I would literally rather eat a muddy tire than watch or have anything with Camilla and [Prince] Charles. I find them the most boring people in the world and can say that because I am an American,’ she stated.

This topic came to be as she and her co-hosts on The View were talking about historian Hilary Mantel‘s opinion that soon enough, no one would be interested in keeping up with the Royals.

McCain obviously agreed and she argued that it must be because of the blue-blooded family’s drama with Meghan and Harry who gave up their titles in favor of a more normal life in the U.S.

And because the former Suits actress is an American, McCain feels like many Americans feel a lot of contempt towards the royals as well.

She explained her point of view some more, saying that: ‘I know people love Queen Elizabeth and she’s a legacy but I don’t like the way they treated Meghan Markle and Harry. I think that Americans are pretty protective of them right now because she went over there, tried to help modernize something that’s — in my perspective — old, archaic and deeply irrelevant, And now [Meghan] came back here. I’m just glad they have a safe space where they can live their lives the way they want to.’
