Melania Trump Gets Disgraced Sculpture Erected In Her Honor -- Pictures Of Giant Wooded Creation Have Some Ridiculing The Donald's Wife

President Donald Trump’s wife and former model, Melania Trump, recently had an odd statue erected in her honor, and many are baffled, and a few are laughing.

This week, Aleš “Maxi” Župev decided to pay tribute to the first lady by carving a wooden statue from a living tree in Sevnica, Slovenia.

Melania’s 2017 presidential inaugural outfit inspired the life-size statue that was carved with a chainsaw. The Donald’s wife wore a baby blue suit dress from Ralph Lauren and matching gloves and shoes.

While people in her hometown see Melania with pride, they have other thoughts about the sculpture. One local said the first-ever monument of Melania was a disgrace while another said it would bring tourists.

Talking to ABC, Mirjana Jelancic, a childhood friend of Melania’s said: “It’s really a cultural shock for us.”

Blaž Berginc, a Sevnica pensioner, added: “What a disgrace! Why did he have to make her look like an evil stepmother of Pinocchio?”

People have fled to social media to comment on the sculpture. One said: “Umm. Looks more warm and compassionate than the subject and Needs more plastic.”

Another claimed: “She shouldn’t be dressed, and it needs more plastic on the face.”

This follower stated: “Imagine hating somebody who you’ve never met and who hasn’t done a damn thing to you as much as the hate in these comment sections. Wow.
