Michelle Obama Gushes Over ‘Rare’ Man Barack Obama And Opens Up About What Attracted Her To Him When They First Met!

During the latest episode of her podcast, Michelle Obama opened up about her first meeting and falling in love with her husband, Barack Obama! As you know, the two of them have been happily married for no less than 27 years so it’s always fascinating to hear about the beginning of their successful romance.

That being said, the former First Lady shared what initially attracted her to the former POTUS and even gushed over him, calling Barack a ‘rare’ man. Aww….

Here’s what truly set Barack Obama apart from other men in Michelle’s eyes!

Amongst other things, Michelle told her podcast listeners that his confidence was a big part of the reason she was attracted to him in the beginning.

Besides, he was apparently all in from the start when it comes to their relationship.

‘Once [Barack and I] started talking and became friends, he was really clear — like, ‘I want to date you. At least in my own experience up until then, men would just be coy. They’d, you know, look around the room. It was all so very complicated, and it felt, a bit immature.’

But Barack Obama was not like that at all and he was not playing any games!

Michelle went on to recall that ‘What struck me about Barack was his, lack of pretense. I mean, he was someone who knew what he wanted, and was not afraid to say it. And, I thought, ‘well, if he is that in tune with his emotions that he can say that out loud to someone he doesn’t know.’ He didn’t know whether I liked him back! He was like, ‘look, let me tell you, this is what I think about you: I think you are special, I think you are different, and I’d like to take you out.’ And that was rare. And it was attractive.’

The previous FLOTUS stressed that she does not believe in love at first sight but she admitted that there was definitely some infatuation at first sight that she felt for her now-husband of almost 30 years.
