Michelle Obama took to her social media to honor her husband, Barack, on Father’s Day and she thanked him and ‘young people in this country’ as well. The post was meant to celebrate the way in which he loves their daughters, Sasha and Malia.
Michelle was one of the many celebrities who marked Father’s Day with a sweet message.
She shared a pic of her husband, the former POTUS, hugging their daughters, Sasha and Malia, 19 and 21 years old respectively.
In the caption, she showed her appreciation of Barack but also the young people in the United States.
‘Thank you for the way that you love our girls — and all of the young people in this country, no matter who you are or where they may come from. We feel your warmth and generosity today and every day. Happy Father’s Day, Barack! ❤️,’ Michelle wrote.
It did not take long at all for people to flood the comment section with well wishes.
Many further acknowledged how great of a father Barack is to his two daughters.
Here are a few of the comments left under the post: ‘President Obama thank you for showing America how to be a father. Happy Father’s Day. ❤️.’ / ‘Beautiful people!’ / ‘Happy Father’s Day. Enjoy your day with your beautiful family.’
Knowing the fact that the girls are still taking online classes at college due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it’s very likely that they will be celebrating Father’s Day with their dad at home.
Michelle has definitely found a silver lining in the pandemic since she gets to have the daughters with them more as a result.
While on the Ellen DeGeneres Show not too long ago, she updated every one of the Obamas’ quarantine life, saying: ‘I mean, everybody’s home. The girls are back because colleges are online now. So they are off in their rooms just doing online classes and I think Barack is — I do not know where he is. He was on the phone for a conference call. I got finished with a conference call.’
