Mike The Situation Sorrentino is a newlywed under an uncommon circumstance — he spent what would be the better part of the honeymoon phase behind bars. Now that he is a free man, the married couple is working on bringing little situations into the world.
The Jersey Shore Family Vacation star told US Weekly: ‘Me and my wife are definitely trying to expand our family.’
This comes just a month after Lauren Pesce revealed that she suffered a miscarriage.
‘The night he came home [from prison] we actually conceived. And then at about six and half, seven weeks, I miscarried. It was heart-wrenching. When I found out we were pregnant, I felt like this is why we went through all these challenges for years and that this was our time and it was our blessing. … It was hard. It was really difficult.’
She went on to say that she didn’t want to ‘hold in’ the loss.
Before Mike spent time in prison where he worked on his Popeye-esque physique, he was already sure that he wanted to have kids.
He told the magazine that he would love to have a boy first.

Lauren added: ‘We like chaos and a busy, loud home. I think we would definitely want at least three, but we have none right now, so that’s pretty ambitious.’
In addition to filming Jersey Shore and trying to start a family, Mike has taken on a role as a treatment center advocate where he recently helped give out scholarships for those wanting to go to rehab.
The reality star shared a photo with his wife and added a caption that read: ‘In spirit of the holiday season, I would like to announce that I have partnered with @banyantreatmentcenters for some amazing holiday giveaways. The first one is a @banyancares t-shirt signed by yours truly. Please follow the instructions below for a chance to win. The second, and most important giveaway is a full scholarship for addiction treatment. If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction and or mental health, fill out the application for a chance at being awarded the gift of recovery.’
Hopefully, the two will welcome a bundle of joy sooner than later.
