This Christmas, Mike Sorrentino, aka The Situation, has a lot to celebrate! That being said, the Jersey Shore star took to social media to tell the world that he has managed to stay sober for no less than five years!
The man posted a number of pics of him celebrating the notable milestone and fans were quick to congratulate him in the comments!
Based on the snaps, it appears that The Situation also received a trophy as well as a really nice cake from the Banyan Treatment Center, which, obviously, has played a big role in his addiction recovery!
In the caption, Mike wrote: ‘5 years clean and sober today!! The best view comes from the hardest climb 🎄 #proud.’
And this is not the only thing to celebrate in his life!

As fans know, Mike is also getting ready to become a dad in the new year since his wife, Lauren, is currently expecting their very first addition to the family!
More precisely, the couple is waiting to welcome a son this upcoming May of 2021!
Earlier this month, Sorrentino posted some pictures from their virtual gender reveal party and alongside them, he wrote: ‘Gym Tan We’re having a Baby Boy.’
In addition to that, the reality TV star made sure to also tag ‘@itsbabysituation,’ which is the official account of their yet unborn baby that Lauren has already made for him!
The great news came after a heartbreaking miscarriage.
That being said, Lauren previously shared with ET that they were still trying to have kids after losing the child at the time.
‘We’re doing OK. [Mike] leads our family by example, with going through our tragedies and trying to just pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off. I looked at him lost when it happened, like, ‘I do not know what to do, I do not know how to recover from this.’ And he kept doing the next right thing. You get ready for the day. You are just one day at a time, and we are almost a month later, and I’m doing a lot better.’
