Miley Cyrus just wasn’t ready to settle down and be a “domesticated housewife” for Liam Hemsworth. In the wake of their shocking split, insiders claim that Cyrus – who came out as pansexual in 2015 – wasn’t satisfied with the dynamics of a traditional heterosexual relationship. And, despite voicing her concerns to Hemsworth “many times,” the two just couldn’t get on the same page about their marriage.

“She was bored in her marriage, and she was bored in bed with Liam,” an insider told Radar Online, adding that Hemsworth was “willing to change things up by bringing in another partner,” Cyrus “needed more than that.”

The source says that the 26-year-old tried her best to fit into the wife role, but ultimately she wasn’t ready.

On the same day that the couple announced they were separating after eight months of marriage, photos surfaced of Cyrus kissing Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter at the II Sereno resort in Lake Como, Italy. Sources say that the pictures caught Hemsworth “completely off guard” and the images left him “heartbroken.”

The split has also left Cyrus’ family “completely torn” because they really love Hemsworth. The source says that Cyrus’ sisters support her decision and want her to be happy. However, her parents Billy Ray and Tish are struggling with the news because they were looking forward to the couple giving them some grandchildren.

Even though Liam and Miley didn’t have any kids during their brief marriage, there still is a possibility of a custody battle over their animals. The exes share eight dogs, four cats, and one pig, and despite plans to co-parent, the insider says “everyone knows that’s not possible.”

Miley – who is a huge animal-lover – reportedly thinks the animals are all hers and wants to keep them together because it’s not okay to separate them. But, Liam adopted two of the dogs on his own.

“She seems to be more concerned about the pets than Liam right now,” claimed the insider.

Liam and Miley tied the knot on December 23, 2018 with an intimate ceremony in Tennessee after dating on and off for nearly ten years.
