Newlywed Miranda Lambert recently enjoyed a night out in New York City by herself, and her party of one included stops at two different hot spots and a lot of alcohol. Lambert has never been shy about her love of drinking, but why was she all alone? Where was her husband, Brendan McLoughlin?

Cameras caught Lambert eating dinner all by herself at Soho’s Bistro Les Amis, and she also enjoyed two daiquiris and two glasses of wine. Her next stop was Red Lion, and eyewitnesses say the Tin Man singer sat alone at the bar while drinking gin and tonics.

According to Radar Online, while Lambert was drinking alone, her husband was out on the town with friends.

After her divorce from Blake Shelton, Lambert said she “started drinking a little extra,” and she told the crowd at one of her concerts that she wished she had been drinking all day because she deserved it. The 35-year-old also carries a small bag of booze with her just in case she needs it.

“My assistant packs — I call it my nanny bag — she packs a bag of liquor for emergencies, for meltdowns and things like that,” said Lambert in 2017.

The Grammy winner took an eight-month break from working after she met McLoughlin last November while performing with Pistol Annies on Good Morning America. Just a few weeks later the couple tied the knot, and Lambert has been laying low and enjoying life as a newlywed.

But, she just ended her hiatus with a performance at Chicago’s Country LakeShake festival, and she joked during an interview that her team won’t ever let her take a long break like that again.

“They’re not going to let me have eight months off ever again because I get married and do weird sh**,” said Lambert. “I had the longest break I’ve ever had in 17 years.”

The Smokin’ and Drinkin’ singer will be back on the road starting in September on her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour, which will begin in Connecticut. She is also finishing up her new record, which will be a lot different than 2016’s The Weight of These Wings.

Miranda Lambert says that it will be high energy and filled with girl anthems that are clever and have fun lyrics, and she is really excited about it. The album doesn’t have a name or release date yet, but the first single will most likely be Locomotive, which she performed at the CMA fest in Nashville that will air in August.
