Miranda Lambert’s husband Brendan McLoughlin took a leave from the New York Police Department and the real reason why is super romantic! As fans know, the country singer and the police officer have been enjoying their time together this summer all the while being #goals and helping people believe in true love once again!

But what makes their romance even better is that he actually took a break from his job especially for her.

One insider report claims that he did that in order to join her on the road so that they could do some traveling together while she tours the country.

As it turns out, they are so in love that even one night apart from one another seems unbearable.

Furthermore, the source tells HollywoodLife that since he is on tour with his wife, Brandan can pretty much be her bodyguard as well!

‘When she has to work it means to be on the road and they want to be together so it makes sense for him to travel with her. They strongly believe that they should not spend long stretches of time apart, which they’d have to do if he did not take time off work. So, this arrangement is what is healthiest for their relationship and their marriage,’ the insider dished to the news outlet.

They went on to say that ‘Miranda does need somebody to guard her, so why not have Brendan, what could be better than a bodyguard that’s also a cop.’

Of course, while he enjoys this current arrangement, the source claims Brandan is planning on going back to his job eventually and Miranda is definitely all for it – ‘she knows how much it means to him, plus she thinks it’s hot to be married to a cop.’
