Nene Leakes Says Real Housewives Of Atlanta Would Not Do Well Without Her This Season: 'I Am The Drama'

There was a big question concerning Nene Leakes’ absence when the 12th season of Real Housewives of Atlanta started filming recently. Now that she has signed her contract and will be joining the rest of the stars of the show, Nene can confidently say the series wouldn’t do well without her this season for a solid reason.

If you’ve been keeping up with the show and the cast in real life, you’d know that most of the ladies are in good standing. Kenya Moore, who is slated to make her triumphant return, even had a party where most of the RHOA personalities were there and seemingly having a great time.

As with most reality shows, viewers want to see both personal drama and disputes between co-stars which is hard to do when everyone appears to be getting along. Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley have a solid storyline but that just isn’t going to cut it.

Which is why Nene feels that she is so vital to the show. The Broadway star spoke with Lore’l of The Morning Hustle where she was asked how she thinks the show would do without her.

‘I don’t know how well they would do without me now. This season, I would honestly say I can’t see them doing that well and I’ll tell you why. Because all of them are acting as if they are friends and reality shows, you know — it’s gotta have some drama. And they all can’t be friends and hold hands on the show. I’m not friends with most of them so it would be a big mistake to not have me there ’cause I am the drama.’

She added what the RHOA cast would have to do this installment to be successful if she decided to leave.

‘They would have to literally turn on each other for no real reason.’

During the same interview, Nene slammed Cynthia Bailey as a weak person who’s doing whatever she has to do to stay on the show.
