Nick Cannon Says He Doesn't Believe In Marriage Following Mariah Carey Divorce

Nick Cannon isn’t fond of the idea of marrying again, a report from Page Six recently suggested. The 39-year-old actor succinctly explained his thoughts on marriage following his divorce with Mariah Carey back in 2016.
During a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Cannon shared that he no longer believes in the idea of getting married, adding that his mindset toward the idea of holy matrimony has changed. The star admits that he wasn’t good at it, and he won’t bother with it again.
Reportedly, the actor insinuated that his split with Mariah Carey played a crucial role in his change of heart. Cannon admits that the first time he got divorced, he barely survived, so why bother putting himself through that again?

Evidently, Cannon used the analogy of jumping out of an airplane as a comparison to marriage, asking the journalist that if it didn’t work the first time, there’s no sense in giving it a second shot.
Reportedly, Cannon’s confession about marriage came not long before he was supposed to head out on a blind date as part of his Power 2016 radio show, Nick Cannon Mornings. With that said, however, Cannon did share that he felt very positive about fatherhood and also continuing to work on his career.
Nick stated that he was doing everything in his power to be the best person he could be. According to the radio show host, he’s great at working at his career, but being a husband is just something he’s not good at.
As fans of the artist know, Carey and Cannon first got married back in April 2008 and they had two children together, including Monroe and Moroccan. Cannon and Marey, however, divorced four years ago in 2016. They first separated back in 2014.
When the split was first announced, Nick explained in an interview that it left him in bad shape. The star referred to himself as “shattered” and “broken.” Not long after, Cannon had another child, a third, with his girl, Brittany Bell, in February 2017.
