Nicki Minaj appears to be head over heels in love with her new man, Kenneth Petty but people around her are not too sure their romance is good for her. Apparently, the female emcee’s close pals wish she ‘slowed down’ as their relationship continues to evolve really fast to the point that there are marriage rumors going around already.

While the friends are happy for her, one source tells HollywoodLife that Minaj and Petty are considering following in Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s footsteps and having a whirlwind engagement as well, and we all know how that turned out for them!

That being said, Nicki’s friends are trying their very best to convince her to change her mind and take things slow.

‘It’s all very intense and romantic, but it’s also got her inner circle very anxious. He is already telling her that he wants to marry her, and she is saying the same thing! The fear is that she will do something spontaneous, like elope and then regret it later. Nicki is moving too fast with Kenneth,’ the source close to the rapper shared with the outlet.

But it sounds like this attempt to change her mind might be doing the exact opposite – bringing the two closer together!

Another insider previously told the same outlet that ‘Right now it’s like they are Bonnie and Clyde with the world against them. This is only making them bond more. Everyone’s just hoping she will slow down a bit and take her time with it. She certainly has a lot more to lose than Kenneth does, so it is understandable that they are worried. But, she is so swept away by love right now.
