Nicole Kidman not only feels for the victims of Australia’s massive out of control fires, she also relates to their situation! After all, the actress has a home in Sydney as well and she is afraid her place will end up in flames too as it’s really close to the wildfires.

The actress has actually donated no less than half a million dollars to help all the people who have already lost their houses in the fires.

People reports that while in attendance at the Gold Meets Golden brunch, Nicole told the press there that ‘I’m so distracted right now by everything going on in Australia.’

As you may know, the fires, considered the most devastating ever, have been making headlines for weeks!

Furthermore, Kidman was even late for the event because there were flight problems from Sydney.

It makes sense that the actress was visibly emotional and upset.

After all, she grew up in Sydney and she still owns a house there.

At this point in time Australia’s most populated state, New South Wales, has been in flames for weeks.

About the crisis, Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated during a press conference earlier today: ‘We are facing another extremely difficult next 24 hours. In recent times, particularly over the course of the balance of this week, we’ve seen this disaster escalate to an entirely new level.’

In the meantime, Nicole Kidman decided to contribute to the efforts of fighting the wildfires by donating no less than $500K to Australia’s Rural Fire services and also encouraging others to donate as much as they can as well.
