Nikki Bella's Mom Says Artem Chigvintsev Isn't Apart Of The Family Yet

Even though Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are engaged and also expecting their first child, it doesn’t mean Artem is a part of the family yet. People Magazine reported on a preview of a new episode of Total Bellas, in which Nikki’s mother, Kathy Colace, discusses whether they’ll have Artem in the family photo or not.
Reportedly, Kathy and her family are gearing up to have a family photo shoot but they’re undecided on whether to include Artem or not. Colace explained in the clip that she often questions whether Nikki is taking her romance seriously or not.
For that reason, she has chosen to be more cautious when it comes to accepting Artem into the family. Kathy adds that “he isn’t family yet,” and doesn’t want to include someone who hasn’t been formally accepted into their group yet.
The 36-year-old reality star tells her mother that to not include Chigvintsev would be a mistake because he’d feel left out. She added that his feelings would be hurt tremendously. Nikki said that she wouldn’t play a role in the decision, and it’s for her mother’s birthday anyway.
At the end of the day, it’s her family photo shoot, and she’ll be the one to break it to him. “She’ll deal with it, and she’ll feel bad,” Nikki explained. Colace then goes on to conjure up a scheme: a photo that doesn’t include him and another that does.
As it was previously reported, Nikki and Artem are currently expecting to have a baby following their engagement in France last year. They revealed the news a few months after he proposed. Unfortunately, the world has come upon hard times and it’s affected Nikki and her family as well.
The reality star said to People Magazine previously that she had to postpone her baby shower on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. This wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity had to cancel their wedding plans.
In a previous clip, Nikki shared that having to cancel her plans was a “bummer.” She and Artem were really looking forward to it; it would’ve been a lot of fun.
