After a social media user accused Black female rappers of devaluing Birkin bags by purchasing them so much, Cardi B was quick to clap back but so was her husband! Offset of Migos came to the defense of his wife and his community in general, arguing that ‘black people’ should have access to luxury as much as they want as well.

Offset took to his go-to platform to argue back at the hater who accused Cardi and other Black rappers like her, of making the famous luxury bags less valuable by pretty much collecting them.

He shared a pic of him sitting at a table while his wife, Cardi was posing in a green dress and in the background, the many Birkin bags in their collection could be seen.

As you might know, the brand sells the items for massive prices that can go from $11,000 to $200,000.

In the caption, Offset shot back: ‘Stop letting people on the internet tell ya’ll who can get a Birkin at the store, and how many Birkin’s you can get. Black people having access to luxury shouldn’t be a debate…by the way hip hop starts the trends.’

This comes a day after the critic attacked Cardi B and other Black rappers for supposedly devaluing the brand with their excessive buying.

‘Birkins have literally lost their value. [Black rappers like Cardi B] have got y’all convinced that these birkin bags are easy to get.’

But Cardi had none of it, sharing a video on her platform in which she argued the opposite and had even more to say!

‘First thing first: I definitely could get a bag — actually I got four bags today from the Hermès store. I don’t want to brag but, it’s like, don’t even try it. Second of all…why is it that y’all asking female rappers if they could get a bag from the Hermès store? Y’all don’t do this to these White celebrities,’ the WAP star said in part.
