Now, Tottie Goldsmith, Olivia’s niece, took to social media earlier today to set things straight as far as her cancer battle is concerned.

So, is the Grease star really close to dying?

Tottie posted a pic featuring her and her aunt on the red carpet, captioning it: ‘Just giving you the heads up that Livvy’s in good health, so let’s leave the distressing rumor where it belongs.’

Furthermore, she also told Australia’s Seven Network, after Olivia Newton-John apparently gave her permission to talk about it publicly, that ‘You can rest assured she is going nowhere and in really good health. A sick rumor.’

And she was not the only one to deny the rumors! Michael Caprio, who is Newton-John’s manager, also called out The Daily Mail, calling their reports on the star’s health ‘hilarious.’

As you may remember, in September, the singer shared the unfortunate news that her cancer had returned for the third time after the medics found a tumor at the base of her spine.

Before that, in 1992, she was also diagnosed with breast cancer, went through chemotherapy and a had a partial mastectomy done, beating the disease after several months.

In May of 2017, the breast cancer was unfortunately back, and it even spread to her shoulder.

Regardless of her struggle, Newton-John remained positive, saying while on Australian news show Sunday Night back in September that: ‘I am one of millions in this fight, in this journey. A lot of people see it as a fight. I see it as part of my mission, maybe.’
