According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the billboard at La Cienega and Pico that was rented out to Sony to advertise the latest Quentin Tarantino flick, was vandalized through the replacement of the word, “Hollywood,” with “Pedowood,” possibly referring to the recent allegations made on the internet that movie industry elites abuse young boys.

Reportedly, an artist swapped images of the two actors, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Brad Pitt, with the faces of Roman Polanski as well as Jeffrey Epstein. The artist’s name is Sabo, and he claims the advertisements were meant to insult the entertainment industry for “embracing Polanski” in the past.

Sabo is likely referring to the way in which other performers defended Roman during the initial controversy in the 1970s. Moreover, the defaced billboard is also in reference to the arrest of Jeffrey Epstein, who was detained by the authorities on the 6th of July for the trafficking of minors.

The artist claimed the background of Quentin’s movie was the murder of Sharon Tate, the pregnant Hollywood starlet who was killed by the Manson Family. Tate and Roman Polanski at her time of death.

Epstein reportedly threw regular parties, one of which was in 2010, where some of the biggest names in the scene were there including George Stephanopoulos, Chelsea Handler, Charlie Rose, as well as Katie Couric.

Sabo said in a statement that he believes the billboards should point out the decades-old pattern of Hollywood elites abusing children. As it was previously reported, this comes shortly after the Venice International Film Festival was criticized by journalists for its lack of female directors, with others using Roman’s inclusion as yet another transgression.

Regarding the alleged crimes of Roman Polanski, the director famously pled guilty to statutory rape charges in 1977, just a few years after his pregnant wife, Sharon Tate, was tragically murdered. Roman Polanski fled to Europe after he pled guilty to the crimes.
