Michael Jackson‘s daughter, Paris Jackson, opened up about her childhood and all of the lessons that she learned from her dad. That being said, it turns out that Paris Jackson was able to learn some core values from the late legend as he made sure she would not grow up feeling entitled.
While Paris acknowledged her privilege and admitted that she is grateful for it, she stressed that her dad Michael instilled in her a sense of humility from the very beginning, even though they would live all over the world and she had everything.
While on Naomi Campbell’s No Filter YouTube series Paris shared that ‘My dad was very good about making sure that we were cultured, making sure that we were educated, and not just showing us like the glitz and glam, like hotel hopping, 5-star places. It was also like, we saw everything. We also saw third world countries. We saw every part of the spectrum.’
This interview comes after Paris teamed up with Stella McCartney to model her brand new sustainable fashion collection and she made it clear that her father taught her and her siblings to never feel entitled to anything in life.
That being said, when Naomi told her she should not going to modelling castings since she is so famous, Paris explained that ‘I’m also a full believer I should earn everything. I need to…go to auditions, I work hard, study scripts, I do my thing. Even growing up it was about earning stuff. If we wanted 5 toys from FAO Schwarz or Toys “R” Us, we had to read 5 books. It is earning it, not being entitled to certain things or thinking I got this. It is like working for it, working hard for it, it’s, it is something else entirely. It is an accomplishment.’
