Penelope Cruz Travels The American And Spanish Awards Circuit As She Gears For Critics' Choice Awards

Oscar-winner Penelope Cruz is already off to a hectic award season. Nominated for a Golden Globe, she will attend the Critics’ Choice Awards Sunday night where she is nominated once again for best-supporting actress in a movie or limited series. Cruz has won critical praise for her role as Donatella Versace in the FX Networks limited series An The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and the nominations keep coming.
Currently, Penelope Cruz has been nominated for a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award, a Satellite Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Gold Derby Award, an OFTA Award, and a Primetime Emmy for the role.
Though these are enough to keep Cruz running from one award show to another, she has other nominations including awards for the movie Todos lo saben. These include a best actress Feroz Award, Goya Award, and a José María Forqué Award.
The Critics’ Choice Awards promises to be exciting as Penelope competes against Ellen Burstyn for The Tale (HBO), Patricia Clarkson for Sharp Objects (HBO), Elizabeth Perkins Sharp Objects (HBO), Julia Garner Dirty John (Bravo), and Judith Light, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: An American Crime Story (FX).

Penelope Cruz has several projects in the work and has just finished filming the Spanish movie Pain & Glory. The film releases in Spain on March 22, 2019.
She’s also rumored to co-star in the movie Love Child alongside Edgar Ramírez. Cruz has three more projects in development.
She’s set to star in the upcoming Olivier Assayas film, Wasp Network with Edgar Ramirez, Pedro Pascal, Wagner Moura, and Mozart in the Jungle’s Gael García Bernal.
Penelope Cruz will act and produce the movie Layover and will star in the film 355.
