Pete Davidson Reveals If He's Planning To Leave SNL Amid New Movie Promotions

Pete Davidson has suggested before that he hasn’t had the best experience as part of the Saturday Night Live cast but is he planning on finally leaving the longtime comedy show? The comedian opened you about his future on SNL, on which he has worked for nearly six years.

Pete is currently promoting his upcoming movie, The King of Staten Island, but of course, he was also asked about SNL during an interview for ET.

As it turns out, Pete had only good things to say this time around and stressed that he has no plans to leave as long as his boss doesn’t have any plans to let him go.

‘I will be there as long as they allow me to be. I think I’m very lucky to be on that show and I’m really lucky to have Lorne Michaels as, you know, not only a mentor and a boss, but a friend. I’ll be there as long as they allow it,’ he told ET.

As you might know, Pete joined the cast back in 2014 at the age of just 20, which made him the youngest ever on the NBC show at the time, as well as the first one to be born in the 1990s.

Aside from appearing on SNL, Pete has also acted in a variety of movies and TV shows, including What Men Want, Trainwreck, The Rookie and other productions.

Speaking of, his latest film is also his most involved and personal work at this point.

The King of Staten Island has Pete in the role of a tattoo artist that is still struggling to deal with the passing of his firefighter dad.

The reason why this project is so personal for Davidson is that his own real-life father was, in fact, a firefight who lost his life while trying to save others during the 9/11 twin towers terrorist attack.
