Peter Thomas Arrest Update: Cynthia Bailey's Ex-Husband Claims He Is Innocent!

‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ alum Peter Thomas was taken into police custody on March 1 as soon as he landed at Miami-Dade Airport. It was later revealed that the reality star was being accused of writing fake checks!

Thomas was allegedly a wanted man in Louisiana which is why he has a warrant out for his arrest. Peter is now speaking out and is claiming that he’s innocent.

The bar owner told US Weekly: “I understand the seriousness of the allegations that have been filed against me, however the allegations are false. I do have faith in the judicial process and have no doubt that I will be acquitted from any wrongdoing. While I can offer no further information about this incident, I do confirm that my attorney is handling this matter expeditiously.”

This comes after it was revealed that although she is in a new relationship that she expects to end in marriage, Cynthia Bailey still wants to be there for her ex-husband.

A source told Hollywood Life: “Cynthia feels sad for Peter over his recent arrest, mainly because he is still in her daughter Noelle’s life so much. Cynthia has encouraged Peter to keep a relationship with her daughter for both of their sakes. Peter was a father figure to Noelle, so of course, she does not want to see bad things happen [to him].”

However, the insider did add that the ‘RHOA’ star wasn’t surprised when she heard about her ex-husband’s charges because he was never really straight up with her about business.

It had been rumored during past seasons that Peter had financial issues especially when it came to running his business, Bar One. It was one of the main subjects of Cynthia and Peter’s arguments.

Peter recently announced that he would not be featured in any more ‘RHOA’ episodes, but if the rumors surrounding his finances are rue — he may want to rethink that decision.
