Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were super excited to share the news of their second pregnancy but not everyone was impressed and sending their best wishes. Piers Morgan took to his Twitter page to slam the pregnant woman for the way she chose to announce the great news in her life.

Piers, who is best known as the former America’s Got Talent judge, but also a longtime tabloid journalist has actually been a pretty vocal critic of Meghan and Harry and their choice to leave the royal family last year.

Now, he reposted the black and white pic of the expecting couple posing under a tree, Meghan’s belly on display.

He wrote alongside it: ‘BREAKING: Harry and Meghan have announced they are pregnant and released this cheesy photo of themselves to make sure the media gives this story about their private life even more prominence – in their latest courageous effort to stop the very same media focusing on their private life.’

However, someone else came to their defence, calling Piers out!

It was Jameela Jamil and it did not take the Good Place star more than 10 minutes to clap back.

She wrote: ‘The last time that Meghan was pregnant, she was being dragged through the mud by the tabloids in the UK. To knowingly do that to somebody in such a physically vulnerable state as pregnancy… is just abhorrent. May they do better this second time around and let her be…’

It’s no secret that Meghan Markle was under a lot of scrutiny by the British media, ever since she and Prince Harry first revealed their relationship back in 2016.

This is also the main reason why Harry and she chose to leave behind everything, including their titles and start anew in the US.

After all, the death of Princess Diana, Harry’s mother, was caused by the paparazzi in the first place so he could not let anything similar happen to Meghan as well.
