President Donald Trump Takes Credit For The Recognition Of Somber Holiday Juneteenth And Gets Mercilessly Dragged For It

President Donald Trump is back at it again, and he is taking credit for everything under the sun.

Trump did a lengthy interview with the Wall Street Journal, where he spoke about many topics and even answered questions that were not asked by the reporter.

The former reality TV star turned politician angered African Americans by having the audacity to take credit for the recognition of Juneteenth, which is commemorated on June 19.

The unofficial holiday is also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, and Liberation Day.

Juneteenth, (a combination of June and nineteenth), commemorates the events that took place in 1865 when Union army general Gordon Granger traveled to Galveston, Texas to inform residents that via the Emancipation Proclamation, President Abraham Lincoln had freed all slaves in the other states more than two years earlier.

Granger demanded that all slaves be liberated. Trump said that “nobody had ever heard of” the somber holiday before the controversy surrounding his rally that was initially set to take place on the same day.

He claimed: “I did something good: I made Juneteenth very famous. It’s actually an important event, an important time. But nobody had ever heard of it.”

An African American stated: “Man, that is not what he said lmao who tf is behind this account. He’s talking about amongst the white upper class 😂😂 you all find anything to b*tch and moan about this man it’s tiring at this point, and I barely like the man. 😭🥴🤦🏾‍♀️”

Another commenter shared: “This man wants credit for everything, my goodness. Just like a YT man. How does twitter even let him keep his account with all the rampant lying he be doing?!”

A fourth person revealed: “Trump is the type of person who doesn’t do any work in a group project but still gets the credit for it. 🤦🏽‍♀️The delusion of this president. November needs to come like yesterday because chile…”

This Instagrammer said: “At this point, somebody is on crack at the WH‼️😭🤦🏾‍♀️So is he admitting he purposely scheduled his rally on Juneteenth? Because he still was denying it before.”

Trump is excited to start rallying his base again.
