Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, Archie Harrison is already one year old and a lot of people have been sending the toddler their well wishes, including his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth! Despite the fact that the royal family went through a little bit of drama due to the fact that Harry and Meghan decided to move away and give up their titles, the baby boy still got some love from the Queen.
That being said, a message was shared on the Royal Family official Twitter that read: ‘Happy Birthday to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor who is celebrating his first birthday today. [balloon emoji] Archie is the Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.’
And that was not all as there was also a throwback pic attached that featured the, at the time, new mom, Meghan Markle, introducing Archie to the Queen and Prince Philip while Prince Harry was also in the shot, looking on.
This comes after Meghan and Harry decided to leave their royal duties and titles in order to live more normal lives so fans were wondering whether or not the Queen would publicly acknowledge the baby’s first birthday amid the royal drama going on.
After announcing their departure, Meghan and Harry as well as their baby, of course, relocated to Canada, before moving close to her mother in Los Angeles, just before the COVID-19 pandemic got worse.

That being said, they have been living there since the quarantine started.
That being said, California is still under strict self-isolation orders so the couple could not travel to the U.K. on Archie’s birthday to celebrate with the royals as they had originally planned.
One source tells HollywoodLife that ‘Right now, their priority’s keeping Archie safe and doing what they can to help during this worldwide crisis. When things get back to normal, of course they’ll want to celebrate and a big priority will be to take Archie overseas to see Harry’s family. But, for now, the focus is on doing everything possible to help out [with the pandemic]. They are devastated by what is happening in the world right now and want to help out however they can.’
