Princess Diana’s brother Earl Charles Spencer is selling copies of the eulogy he gave at her funeral.
On the 22nd anniversary of the beloved princess death, reports have surfaced her own brother is looking to profit off her demise. According to the Daily Mail, Spencer is selling a blue bound book that includes the full text he read at his older sister’s funeral. Each book can be purchased for #55.
Earl Spencer’s Tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales, is the official title of the book. It comes signed in a case secured by a decorative ribbon. Those looking to own a copy of the eulogy can make the trip to the gift shop of the family’s estate, Althorp House in Northamptonshire. It is also available online for people who can’t or don’t want to travel all the way to England.

There are reportedly no pictures of Prince William and Prince Harry’s mother in the book, only Lord Spencer’s spoken words. It is 25 pages of text from Westminster Abbey on September 6, 1997, the day Lord Spencer had to say good-bye to his younger sister way too soon.
One advantage of going to the gift shop is there is a chance visiting customers might see Lord Spencer signing copies of the book. He reportedly sets up a booth and will sign books at the request of guests.
“He walks over from the house, and they only advertise on the day he’s going to do it. He usually spends 15 minutes meeting people. He does it most days according to staff. There was about 50 or 60 people in the queue, probably more. He was quite nice with people, pleasant and thanked them for coming,” one guest shared with Fabulous Digital.

Lord Spencer nor his rep have commented on reports he is profiting off the eulogy he said at Princess Diana’s funeral. As fans gathered to honor the “People’s Princess” in Kensington Palace in Hyde Park, others are furious her brother is using her death to make cash.
It is not only Earl Charles Spencer either. People are buying the book with the eulogy in it and selling it on eBay too.
What do you think about Lord Spencer selling the eulogy from Diana’s funeral? It is tacky, or a way to honor her?
