Pumpkin Wishes Honey Boo Boo Happy Birthday After Mama June Sells Home For RV Life With Boyfriend Geno

Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon worked hard to ensure that her sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson had the best birthday.
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star turned 14-years-old yesterday. Her older sister Pumpkin wanted to make sure all the drama surrounding Mama June did not impact Honey Boo Boo’s birthday.
“Happy birthday to my not so little sister. Today you’re 14, and I’m so happy I get to spend it with you,” wrote the 19-year-old who has been taking care of her younger sibling since Mama June’s drug issues took over their lives.
Mama June was arrested on drug possession charges in March. The incident led to Pumpkin becoming Honey Boo Boo’s legal guardian. Despite begging and pleading from her family to get clean, as well as ditch her bad boyfriend, Geno Doak.
The family is in shambles, but Pumpkin is embracing her new role as “sister mom” to her younger sibling.
“Things haven’t been the easiest lately, but I promise we will get through it. I love being there for you when you need me most. And I enjoy being your sister, mom. I hope today is all you wish for and more @honeybooboo,” Pumpkin finished her birthday message.
There does not appear to be a reconciliation on the horizon for Mama June and her children. Days before Honey Boo Boo’s birthday, Mama June put her house up for sale. E! News reported she is choosing to ditch her home to live in an RV with Geno.
It is not surprising Mama June is selling her house for her man. All of three of her kids, including Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, have cut off their mother after their pleas to come home went unheard.

“She chose Geno over them. Good or bad, she likes the attention. She really only cares about herself. That’s crystal clear to her family,” a source shared with E! News regarding the estranged family.
Honey Boo Boo did not have her mom there when she turned 14, but her older sister Pumpkin is stepping up. Mama June continues to put her boyfriend, Geno before her family. Since she is now selling her house to live with him, that is clearly not going to change.
Both Mama June and Geno are awaiting trial for the charges from their March arrest. They each could face several years in jail if convicted of the crimes against them.
