Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Court at the end of the festive procession on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee. It is reported by Sky News.
Dressed in a bright green coat and hat of the same color, she joined Prince Charles, Camilla Parker-Bowles, the Dukes of Cambridge William and Kate, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
With the appearance of Elizabeth II on the balcony, the performance of the British anthem “God Save the Queen” began, which Elizabeth II listened to, leaning on a cane.
The anthem was sung by a crowd of thousands gathered in the Mall near Buckingham Palace.
It was the second time in four days that the 96-year-old Elizabeth II personally attended the celebration of the 70th anniversary of her reign. For the first time, she went public on Thursday, June 2, during the Trooping The Color military parade.
Earlier it was reported that the young Elizabeth II waved to the audience from the carriage in the festive procession. A hologram depicting a young Elizabeth II appeared in the window of the Golden State Carriage at a festive procession on the occasion of the Monarch’s Platinum Jubilee. The video was published by the Daily Mail newspaper.
The carriage became part of the carnival procession, the organization of which took, according to the publication, £ 15 million. The procession will be the final part of the celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the reign of Elizabeth II, which lasted four days.
The route of the procession is exactly the same as that followed during the coronation of Elizabeth II in June 1953: its participants move from the building of the Royal Horse Guards along Whitehall Street to the Admiralty Arch – and then down the Mall to Buckingham Palace.
It is assumed that at the end of the procession, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles, the Dukes of Cambridge William and Kate, and other members of the royal family will be waiting on the balcony of the palace.
