Rachel Lindsay Disappointed In Hannah Brown's Apology For Singing The N-Word - Here's Why!

Hannah Brown was quick to apologize for singing the N-word on Instagram Live but it looks like fellow Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay was not impressed! Rachel went live on the same platform earlier today, and discussed Hannah’s scandal, slamming her apology.

Lindsay told her followers that while she did not want to talk about the problem, she felt like she had no choice after also reaching out to Hannah herself.

She admitted that she was offended by Hannah using the word but also wanted to use this opportunity to challenge her to use her voice and influence in a ‘better way.’

Upon contacting the other reality TV star, Lindsay said she thought to herself that ‘Maybe it was a mistake, maybe they did not realize the intention behind it.’’

However, she then stumbled upon her apology on IG Stories and was not impressed at all!

Lindsay argued that ‘It’s easy to make a statement. It is easy to hide behind words, but when you are bold enough to say the N-word on camera then you need be bold enough to also use your face on camera and apologize the same way that you said the word. [I’m] personally hurt and offended I gave someone the opportunity to do that, and it was not done. We cannot give people a pass for this. We have to hold them accountable for what they are doing.’

Furthermore, another disappointing part of this was receiving comments from people encouraging her to brush off Hannah’s mistake.

‘You should feel disgusted when you say that word. You should feel uncomfortable. That word has so much weight and so much history behind it. If you do not know, please educate yourself. That word was used to make black people feel less than,’ she explained.

The star stressed that it should never be Okay for non-black people to say that word as every time they do, it gives the word power again.
