Rami Malek admitted that his experience working on Bohemian Rhapsody with Bryan Singer was ‘not pleasant.’ As you may remember, Singer was fired by Twentieth Century Fox back in December of 2017 mid-production because of his ‘unexpected unavailability.’

At the time, during an interview with ET, the man told the outlet that he was focusing on a ‘personal health matter.’

But that came amid speculations that Singer and Malek were having beef and that their conflict only kept growing.

Furthermore, there were also other reports that alleged Singer was guilty of sexual misconduct, something he vehemently denied.

While in attendance at the Santa Barbara Film Festival yesterday, Malek had a chat with The Hollywood Reporter during which he opened up about his and Singer’s professional relationship.

The actor said: ‘I have sat here and talked about how everybody deserves a voice and anybody who wants to talk about what happened with Bryan [Singer] deserves to have their voice heard. In my situation with him, it was not pleasant, not at all. And that is about what I can say about it at this point.’

‘For anyone who’s seeking any solace in all of this, Bryan Singer was fired. Bryan Singer was fired, I do not think that was something anyone saw coming, but I think that had to happen and it did,’ he went on to share.

Despite the fact that Dexter Fletcher was the one to finish the movie, Singer still gets directing credit for Bohemian Rhapsody due to very clear DGA rules.

But amid the film’s huge success, Singer’s controversial directorial credit continues to make headlines.

Previously, Singer called the accusations that he molested underage boys a ‘homophobic smear piece’ via ET.
