Youngboy Never Broke Again has chosen to take some time off from his rap career following the creation of his reputation as one of the hardest workers in the hip-hop world. Hot New Hip Hop reported that Youngboy NBA has been releasing new music on a regular basis for a long time.

The outlet says that, on the other hand, he has a lot of people who simply don’t like him much. For instance, this past week, it seems as though the aspiring rapper nearly missed gunfire after passer-bys allegedly fired at him.

DJ Akademiks shared a video in which the rapper states that he just avoided a drive-by shooting. While it’s hard to decipher what exactly he was saying in the video, people in the comment section came to the aforementioned conclusion.

In the clip, the performing artist says that he could have “died from a drive-by yesterday.” Youngboy NBA wouldn’t be the only young rapper who has encountered gun violence. In fact, this past year, the hip-hop world lost several key figures.

One of them was the Toronto rapper, Houdini, 21, who was shot and killed in the entertainment industry of the Canadian city in broad daylight. The Toronto police later came out to say that the incident was totally unacceptable.

Moreover, other people were hurt in the shooting, including a 27-year-old woman and a young boy. Furthermore, Pop Smoke was killed while staying in the home of a Real Housewives star. The rap world took the artist’s death particularly hard, considering he just released a song with Nicki Minaj and his career was rising.

Not long after he died, it was revealed that Pop Smoke actually cooperated with the police in the cancelation of one of his concerts due to a fear for his safety. Later, however, he said that the police forced him to shut it down.

Fans think that Pop Smoke was just embarrassed and didn’t want anyone to know that he was scared of getting shot. Following his passing, stars such as Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent came out to say that the suspects were motivated by “jealousy.”
