According to a report from Page Six, Troy Ave, the rapper who hails from Brooklyn, New York, was in the Manhattan court today in support of his acquaintance, Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, in the case involving the meme-rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine.
Troy Ave, née Roland Collins, snuck into the courthouse and sat in the back approximately half-way during the trial and listened to Daniel Hernandez’ testimony regarding Anthony “Harv” Ellison and the aforementioned “Nuke” Mack.
The rapper was at the hearing to back up Mack, who’s facing off against racketeering charges, a federal crime that comes with serious legal consequences if convicted. In reference to Mack, the rapper said that he was a “good guy.”
Mr. Collins, or Troy Ave, said before the court that he got to know him when getting into the music business, moreover, he knew him as the type of guy who’s trying to do positive things with his life. Troy Ave added he was “praying for him.”
As it was previously reported, Troy Ave has had several encounters with the police over the years, including gunmen and gangsters. In 2016, the rapper was shot at and wounded during TI’s concert at the Irving Plaza in Greenwich Village. Troy was indicted on charges that were never revealed to the public.

On the 25th of December of 2016, the rapper, while parked at Linden Boulevard and East 91st Street in his red Maserati, was wounded once again.
The news of Troy’s testimony comes after it was announced that Tekashi 6ix9ine, née Daniel Hernandez, admitted to giving up his fellow gang members to the police as soon as he was apprehended by the authorities.
While the rapper’s decision appears to have gotten him out of jail, his reputation in the hip-hop and the black community is forever tarnished. For instance, legendary hip-hop artist, Snoop Dogg, tagged Tekashi 6ix9ine along with a series of “rat” emojis.
Last year, Tekashi was at the height of his fame. Hernandez’s album was leaked shortly after he was apprehended by federal agents.
