Renee Zellweger Wore Dior To The Critics' Choice Awards And Played It Safe Again

Renee Zellweger has been sweeping the awards and she wore Dior Haute Couture when she received the best actress award at Sunday’s Critics’ Choice Awards. A favorite of black gowns, Renee has worn the color to multiple awards shows this year and on Monday morning, January 13, 2020, it was announced that Renee has also been nominated for the best actress Oscar. Renee has stunned audiences worldwide after returning to the movie scene from a six-year hiatus and delivering a phenomenal performance as Judy Garland in the film Judy. Renee is going into the Oscars a favorite and people are wondering what she’ll wear.

Styled by Petra Flannery, Renee made recent headlines when she chose a light blue Armani gown to the Golden Globes awards. For the Critics’ Choice Awards, Renee chose to keep things pared down and she didn’t wear extravagant jewels with her outfits but rather chose one choice piece — a bracelet by David Webb.

The award shows are a time when people choose to wear the most fanciful, elaborate gowns and jewelry and it is also a great time to show off designers’ latest styles. For Renee, however; it seems she is more comfortable playing it safe on the red carpet as opposed to making dramatic statements.

Fans know that Renee is an incredibly talented actress and that the awards focus on her work, rather than her appearance, but many are sounding off on social media networks that Renee is playing it too safe.

She continues to wear solid colors and isn’t offsetting the three black gowns she has worn with anything striking or eye-catching, such as a bold necklace in vibrant colors.

In fact, fans are praying that Renee livens up her look and takes time to truly bask in the glory she is being surrounded with right now.
