'RHOA' Newcomer Tanya Sam Discusses Swagg Boutique And Being Called 'Ignorant' By Nene Leakes

It was clear from the moment Tanya Sam made her first appearance on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ that she would have some competition with group fashionista, Marlo Hampton. However, it was a surprise when the very same housewife that introduced her to the other ladies ended up calling her ‘ignorant’ at the dinner table.

If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest episodes of the Bravo series, the beef started when Tanya Sam was up for a ‘best-dressed’ competition with rival Marlo Hampton. While showing off her carefully picked ensemble, Tanya innocently referred to her Swagg Boutique, a clothing and accessory store owned by Nene Leakes, sunglasses as ‘low end.’

Later on, when the women sat down to eat, Tanya was explaining that when it comes to fashion — you can do a lot with a little.

That’s when Nene interjected with: “You know, I want you to understand Tanya that I have very little tolerance for ignorance.”

The comment caught Sam off-guard and she talked about it on the ‘RHOA’ aftershow. She explained that she wasn’t being shady.

“I was just saying the price difference was significant enough that it was highs and lows. If you can’t afford a $2,000 bathing suit, you can wear these sunglasses which are not $2,000. It was really black and white.”

As far as Swagg Boutique, the ‘RHOA’ newcomer had nothing but good things to say about it.

The former nurse told The Lookbook: “The great thing about Nene’s store is you can always pop in there and find something for any event whether it’s formal or the beach or just casual wear. I’ve gotten a lot of great pieces there. [Nene’s] great at making recommendations and she’ll send you stuff, like she’s really very generous in terms of like the stuff that she has in her store.”
