Last summer, Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador got into some legal trouble after making some negative comments about former RHOC star Alexis Bellino and her husband, Jim, on the Juicy Scoop podcast. Jim did not like what Shannon had to say and ended up suing her for $1 million. Now a judge has dismissed all of the claims against Shannon, and she wants Jim to cover all of her legal fees.
According to The Blast, Shannon has requested that Jim pay $220,894.55 in attorney’s fees. The reality star says this amount is not excessive, and the reason she won the case was because she had good lawyers who performed good work.

The judge has not yet ruled on Shannon’s motion. When he dismissed all of the claims against Shannon, he did order Jim to pay her legal bills. However, he was not specific about the amount.
When the judge dismissed Jim’s claim against Shannon, his opinion was that Jim didn’t establish a probability of winning in his filings. The “complaint was stricken in its entirety against Ms. Beador. The clerk shall enter judgment for Ms. Beador.”
Jim also sued Shannon’s co-star, Tamra Judge, and she has not yet been dismissed from the case.
During Shannon and Tamra’s appearance on The Juicy Scoop podcast with Heather McDonalds last summer, they talked about the possibility of Jim and Alexis’ divorce being fake so they could hide assets, and they also talked about his trampoline business. Shannon and Tamra claimed that the business had paralyzed customers and he was “going to jail.”

Not long after, Jim filed the $1 million lawsuit, claiming Shannon and Tamra’s comments had caused him serious damage. But, the RHOC stars quickly fired back and asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit because they were speaking the truth, not defaming Jim.
Recently, Jim asked the court to allow him access to emails and texts from Shannon and Tamra to try to find evidence of a planned attack.
Jim Bellino has also filed an appeal after the judge dismissed Shannon Beador from the case, but the court has not yet made a ruling.
New episodes of Real Housewives of Orange County will return to Bravo later this year.
