RHOC Star Shannon Beador's Ex-Husband David Is Engaged To Girlfriend Lesley Cook

Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador’s ex-husband David is engaged to his girlfriend, Lesley Cook. The couple announced the news on Cook’s Instagram on Thursday.

“Today I Said YES to the man of my dreams. You complete me!” Cook wrote in the caption of a photo that featured a shirtless David with his arms around his new fiancee. Fans could see the ring as David kissed Cook’s cheek and she held her cell phone to take the pic.

Cook gave everyone a closer look at the giant diamond sparkler in a pic she posted later in the day that featured the couple smiling for the camera. For that photo, Cook wrote in the caption that she was looking forward to eternity with her love.

As RHOC fans know, David started dating Cook just weeks after he and Shannon split after 17 years of marriage in October 2017. Cook told Us Weekly in March 2018 that she met David at a SoulCycle class, and they “love to work out together.”

Shannon had a difficult time dealing with David moving on so quickly after they called it quits, and her struggles were documented during Season 13 of RHOC. She also told Us Weekly in 2018 that the way she found out about David and Lesley’s relationship was the hardest part.

“It hurt when I first found out, just the way that I found out because they were doing this public, Instagram, childish nonsense,” Shannon explained. “I knew I was going to be replaced and that’s fine … It could be any girl, it’s just the time frame, that’s all.”

After a nasty and lengthy battle, Shannon and David finalized their divorce in April 2019. Their settlement required David to pay Shannon $10,000 per month in spousal and child support, plus a $1.4 million one-time payment to equally distribute their assets. The former couple share three children together: Sophie, 18, and 15-year-old twins Stella and Adeline.

Shannon Beador has since moved on and is currently dating John Janssen, vice president of the insurance firm Wood Gutmann & Bogart.

Even though two of the Tres Amigas – Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge – have left RHOC, it appears that Shannon Beador will be returning for Season 15. New episodes of Real Housewives of Orange County will return to Bravo later this year.
