Real Housewives of Orange County star-turned-friend of the show Vicki Gunvalson announced back in April that she was engaged to her longtime boyfriend Steve Lodge, and now she is asking her Instagram fans for input on her and Lodge’s upcoming wedding because she needs help making a decision.
Gunvalson recently posted a pic of her and Lodge on a double date, and fans immediately started to ask about the details of her nuptials. In her response, the OG of the OC wrote, “We are still deciding if we are going to have a private or public wedding. Thoughts?”
Considering that her engagement party will be part of RHOC Season 14, it seems kind of odd that Gunvalson would even be considering keeping the wedding private, but fans did have some feedback.
One suggested that they keep the wedding private, but share pictures afterward, while another said that they should keep it special and make it completely private because it is her big day, and Gunvalson has already shared so much about her life.
However, not everyone was on board with the idea of keeping out the cameras but understood why Gunvalson would choose that option.
“I’d love to see it! We’ve watched your life unfold for so long now, but it would be completely understandable to want privacy on your big day,” wrote a follower.
There is precedent when it comes to RHOC weddings. Tamra and Eddie Judge allowed Bravo cameras to film their wedding, and they turned it into a special called Tamra’s OC Wedding. And, Gunvalson herself had a public vow renewal with her ex-husband Donn back in the early days of RHOC.
Now that Bravo has demoted her to friend status, it’s possible Gunvalson might go the private route this time around. Then again, there is also the possibility that Gunvalson was simply trying to get her fans involved, and that was never a question about putting the wedding on television.
When the rumors started swirling about Gunvalson’s demotion, the story emerged that she was able to save her job by promising Bravo an engagement and wedding. She has already come through with the first alleged promise, and only time will tell if she comes through on the second.
Season 14 of Real Housewives of Orange County premieres Tuesday, August 6th on Bravo.
