Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice is one step closer to returning to his native Italy. On Thursday morning, the Board of Immigration Appeals dismissed Juicy Joe’s case and affirmed an immigration judge’s October decision ordering his deportation.
However, according to Page Six, Giudice’s future in the United States remains in limbo because he has the option to appeal the latest decision. A representative from the Executive Office for Immigration Review says that if Giudice disagrees with the BIA’s decision, he can file a petition for review with the appropriate federal circuit court of appeals.

Giudice family attorney James J. Leonard said that the family is “extremely disappointed” with the decision, and they have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in a last ditch effort to keep Joe in the United States. The family will continue to fight for Joe so he can go home to his wife and daughters and continue to live in the only country he has ever known.
Joe was born in Italy, but he has lived in the United States pretty much his entire life. The problem is that he never obtained his American citizenship, and the law states that immigrants can be deported if they are convicted of an “aggravated felony” or a “crime of moral turpitude.”
Joe was released from federal prison on March 14th after serving three years for multiple fraud charges. However, he was immediately turned over to the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and has been sitting in a detention center waiting for a decision on the appeal he filed in November.
Joe and Teresa Giudice have been married since 1998, and they are the parents of four daughters – Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana. However, during the Season 9 RHONJ reunion, Teresa revealed that she would file for divorce if Joe ends up being deported to Italy.

“I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. I’m not doing it,” she said. “I want somebody with me every day. I know exactly what happens — I’m sure he’ll be with other women. It happens. You do the long-distance thing, it’s not going to work. I’d be like, ‘Bye-bye.’”
The cast of RHONJ is currently filming Season 10, and rumor has it that Bravo cameras are capturing all of Joe Giudice and Teresa Giudice’s deportation drama. New episodes will return later this year.
