RHONY LuAnn De Lesseps Accuses Bethenny Frankel Of Cheating On Dennis Shields With Paul Bernon

During the most recent episode of Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Frankel exploded on Luann de Lesseps. The Skinnygirl mogul was tired of de Lesseps’ selfish, diva behavior, and she let her know all about while the rest of the cast looked on and nodded in agreement. During the entire outburst, de Lesseps remained calm, but during the RHONY After Show, she had a lot more to say. Not only did she call Frankel’s outburst “lame and one of the most hurtful things I’ve ever heard in my life,” but she also accused Frankel of cheating on her late boyfriend.

“I think Bethenny’s got a lot of issues and a lot of anger and a lot of stuff going on in there. It’s not just about me,” said de Lesseps. “I think her breakdown had a lot to do with Dennis, with her own anger and her own issues and her dating and her guilt, and there were a lot of things bottled up in that explosion.”

De Lesseps added that she is starting to think that Frankel’s relationship with Paul Bernon has been going on longer than people think, and insinuated that Frankel – who went Instagram official with Bernon last December – cheated on her late boyfriend, Dennis Shields, who died last August.

ICYMI, Frankel lost it on de Lesseps during their trip to Miami after the Countess made fun of Tinsley Mortimer for slurring her words. Frankel was livid at de Lesseps for leaving an alcohol treatment center two weeks early after she had gotten her into rehab for free. De Lesseps ditched the program to perform in her Countess and Friends cabaret show.

Frankel was also upset about the fact that de Lesseps wasn’t there for her when Shields died, even though she had gone above and beyond for de Lesseps when she needed support from friends.

The rest of the RHONY cast were extremely supportive of Frankel’s relationship with Bernon and were happy that she didn’t go “into her cave” and become “very depressed.” Dorinda Medley pointed out that grieving is different for everyone and there are no rules.

“I think everybody does the best they can, and if that means having a friend, dating, whatever it takes to move through it — the person has died. You’re not doing them any justice or injustice anymore. They’re dead, so what you have to do is what’s best for yourself,” said Medley.

Mortimer added that Frankel and Shields were always on-again, off-again, and Frankel never hid that fact from anyone. When Frankel and Shields would break up, she would often date other people.

Despite LuAnn de Lesseps’ selfish behavior, the rest of the cast wants her to have a successful recovery. However, she isn’t making it easy for them.

“I think the thing is, we all want nothing but more than recovery for her, but it’s difficult because she constantly is watching for any of us to make any mistakes and pointing them out,” Medley told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. “I think it’s just a lesson in just tend to your own garden.”
