Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones had to postpone North American tour dates. On Saturday, Mick and the rest of the band canceled part of their North American tour when it was revealed Mick was diagnosed with an undisclosed sickness.

Just three weeks before the band was supposed to perform, the doctors ordered the 75-year-old legendary frontman to avoid going up on stage, and instead, rest. It isn’t clear, however, what he’s suffering from.

In a statement released today, the band said Mick had been advised by doctors “that he cannot go on tour at this time.” In the midst of a pre-tour check-up, the doctors discovered he had a problem in need of fixing with rest and relaxation.

Medical professionals urged Mick to go to a hospital in the United States, instead of going on the road. The band went on to say that Mick and the rest of the band would be getting ready to start touring again as soon as possible.

A source close to the group said it “wasn’t a serious thing,” and fans should continue holding their tickets, rather than trying to get a refund or an exchange. Jagger also released a statement on Saturday morning in which he confirmed what the band had previously revealed.

His paper began, “I really hate letting you down like this,” but unfortunately, on doctor’s orders, he has to rest. “Huge apologies to everyone,” the 75-year-old rockstar concluded.

Its unlikely fans are that upset with the announcement, considering The Rolling Stones are all in their 70s. The band, in recent years, has developed a reputation for being one of the longest lasting touring bands in the last 50 years.

While many groups break up due to drug addiction, financial problems, and other personal strife, The Rolling Stones have managed to keep it together for 50 years.

In fact, it has become a running joke in the rock community that Keith has managed to stay alive as long as he has. Back in December, Mick welcomed another child into the world with his much younger girlfriend.
