Ronda Rousey Slams The WWE By Calling It Fake

Ronda Rousey has disgusted her fans and co-workers by calling wrestling fake. Her comments are especially shocking since she is currently a WWE wrestler who has headlined many matches.

Ronda went from UFC to WWE  full-time in 2018. The change of pace was both exciting and nerve-wracking to the athlete who intimidated many of the other female wrestlers when accepting the offer to compete in World Wrestling Entertainment.

When the announcement was first made, some felt that it was merely a stunt to get more viewers for the fighting brand.

Rousey told ESPN: “This is my life now. They have first priority on my timeline for the next several years and this is not a smash-and-grab. This is not a publicity stunt. There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much. The only thing that money gets you is the freedom to choose how you spend your time and who you spend you spend your time with. I don’t want to be constantly stuck trying to make money for the sake of making money.”

Since her commitment, she has been a the forefront of the women’s revolution.

Which is why it was especially disheartening when Rousey took to her Youtube channel to slam the brand. She was asked about a statement she made while in the ring.

“They gave me other things to say, I didn’t f****** say it. I’m going out there doing whatever the h*** I want and they can explain the way however they want but … f*** ’em. Everybody. WWE Universe included. I meant that. I’m going to disrespect the sport that they all love so much. ‘Ohhhh don’t break kayfabe Ronda!’ Wrestling is scripted. It’s made up. It’s not real. None of those b****** can f****** touch me. The end.”

Ronda’s wrestling persona recently ‘turned heel’ which means she went from being a good character to a bad character so the controversial statements may be a part of her new spiel. However, calling the WWE scripted is not a usual tactic of wrestling villains.
