Roseanne Barr Update: Is Michelle Obama To Blame For Roseanne Getting Fired From Reboot?

Roseanne apologized for her tweet but it wasn’t enough to save her job. Now, in a new interview with Britain’s Sunday Times Magazine, she said that she thinks that Michelle Obama’s outrage over her Valerie Jarrett tweet is the real reason the apology wasn’t enough and she was ultimately fired. Roseanne indirectly attributed the Obama’s friendship with then ABC head Channing Dungey as the real reason she was fired, without naming her by name.

Roseanne stated the following to explain what she views as the real connection to her firing from the reboot of her show that ultimately became rebranded as The Conners.

“[Michelle] said, ‘This tweet is unforgivable. That’s what I was told, and I tend to believe it because the woman who fired me is now working with the Obamas at Netflix.”

The news is going viral as Roseanne continues to be one of Hollywood’s most controversial figures. She has a large support base that voices their opinions and says she was wrongfully fired. At the time her show was canceled, it was a ratings triumph.

Roseanne, a supporter of President Trump, received a personal phone call from the president congratulating on the show’s success.

News of Roseanne’s belief that Michelle Obama had something to do with the firing has gone viral, been scoffed at by those who oppose Roseanne, and has gained support by her followers.

The original tweet was in response to accusations that Valerie Jarrett was hiding secrets related to the Obama administration.

Roseanne followed the tweet with this apology but it proved futile. She was fired.
